Job summary

Whitsons Culinary Group in North Merrick, NY is seeking a School Food Service Worker to fuel the future. Monday–Friday, 10:30am–2:30pm, with no nights or weekends, offering family-friendly hours and a supportive team environment.

You will prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff, maintain strict food safety, and help create a welcoming mealtime experience. No experience required—training is provided, and the role pays $17/hour.

Qualifications

• Must complete all Whitsons and government-mandated training as required.
• Minimum 1 year of professional food service experience preferred but not required.
• ServSafe certification preferred but not required.
• Ability to speak and read English sufficient to understand and perform job assignments, follow recipes, and comply with safety requirements.

Responsibilities

• Prep, portion, and serve meals to students and staff.
• Set up and clean serving stations and kitchen areas.
• Follow food safety and sanitation procedures.
• Create a positive and welcoming mealtime experience.
