Gainesville City Schools in Gainesville, GA is seeking a Food Service Assistant to support the district’s nutrition program in a school-based kitchen. You will follow production schedules, assist in meal prep, and help maintain high standards of food safety and cleanliness.

The role reports to the Director of Nutrition – School Nutrition Manager, works a 181-day calendar, and requires a high school diploma or GED. Bilingual skills are a plus and prior food-prep experience is desirable.

Qualifications

• Must be able to read, write, compute and communicate effectively.
• Experience in food preparation is desirable.
• Bilingual abilities are preferred but not required.

Responsabilités

• Follow production schedules and time schedules.
• Maintain safety, cleanliness, and orderliness in kitchen.
• Assist in food preparation and service following recipes and guidelines.
• Operate and clean kitchen equipment of all sizes.
• Follow daily cleaning and maintenance schedules.
• Adhere to all policies, procedures and confidentiality requirements.
