Job summary

Culpeper County School District is seeking a Nurse Substitute to support our school health clinic. Starting immediately, you will assist in delivering medical care and health services under the supervision of the Central Office team.

You will administer first aid, perform basic health screenings, coordinate referrals, and communicate health information to parents and staff, ensuring compliance with Board policies and state requirements.

Qualifications

• Must hold a Virginia state LPN license.
• Ability to administer first aid and respond to school health emergencies.
• Strong communication and documentation skills with parents and staff.

Responsibilities

• Assist with setting and maintaining standards of emergency care to minimize effects of accidents and illness in the school.
• Respond to calls for emergencies in assigned school to evaluate illness or injury.
• Administer first aid wherever necessary.
• Provide physical inspection for students including basic health checks.
• Coordinate referrals to health departments or specialists as appropriate.
• Maintain medical records and communicate health concerns to parents and school staff.
• Deliver medications to students as required by Board policy.
