Job summary

Edina Public Schools in Minnesota seeks a School Nurse Substitute to provide health services across the district. This casual, non-exempt position supports students by assessing health needs, screening, planning and counseling, and coordinating referrals to ensure students stay healthy and in school.

The role requires Minnesota licensure as a School Nurse, LPN, or RN and entails working on a as-needed basis with pension eligibility via PERA or TRA.

School Nurse Substitute

Location: District-wide | Status: Non-exempt | Schedule: Casual, as needed

Position Summary:

To provide assessment, screening, planning, intervention, evaluation, counseling, management and/or referrals concerning the health and medical care needs of students for the purpose of minimizing absences due to illness, maximizing educational opportunities, and creating a healthy school climate.

Education and Experience Requirements:

• Minnesota teaching license(s): School Nurse, LPN, or RN

Salary Range: $35.95 per hour.

Benefits: This is a temporary/casual position. Eligible employees will participate in one of the state's largest pension programs (either the Public Employees Retirement Association (PERA) or the Teachers Retirement Association (TRA)). Leave benefits will be applied in accordance with Minnesota law.
