Job summary

ONALASKA INDEP SCHOOL DISTRICT is seeking a School Nurse to implement a comprehensive health services program on campus and provide essential health services to students. The role emphasizes health education and preventative practices, with focus on student well‑being and safety.

The ideal candidate holds an RN or LVN license, is CPR certified, and has experience in health appraisal to identify student health needs, plus strong organizational and interpersonal skills.

Qualifications

• Graduate of an accredited professional nursing program.
• Valid health care professional license (RN or LVN).
• Texas Department of Health vision/hearing screening certification.
• CPR Certification.
• Two years nursing experience.
• Strong organizational, communication, and interpersonal skills.

Responsibilities

• Implement a comprehensive program of health services for the campus.
• Provide health services to students and promote health education and preventative health practices.
• Identify student health defects through health appraisal.
• Respond to health emergencies and maintain safety and confidentiality.
