Job summary

Midland Independent School District seeks a School Nurse (Registered Nurse) for Bunche One Elementary in Midland, Texas. The nurse will support health services, assess students, and coordinate care within a school-based setting.

Qualifications

• Current Texas RN license and CPR/BLS certification.
• Experience in community health or pediatric nursing preferred.
• Ability to organize emergency care and health screenings.
• Knowledge of school health policies and FERPA/HIPAA.

Responsibilities

• Provide assessment and nursing care for ill and injured students.
• Complete vision, hearing, spinal and dental screening.
• Initiate referrals and follow-up for student needs.
• Maintain immunization and health records.
• Develop individual health care plans when indicated.
• Inform Principal and Health Supervisor of concerns.
• Support students and families with acute and chronic illnesses.
• Assist families in accessing community health resources.
• Prepare reports per guidelines.
