Summary of this client's opportunity

1. School nurse office duties providing direct care to students.
2. Observe students for development and health patterns in making a nursing judgment and diagnosis.
3. Implement plans for students with chronic health problems and coordinate the administration of medication within state law and Board policies.
4. Demonstrate effective skills of listening, speaking, and writing.
5. Ability to work with school personnel, parents, and children.
6. May need to accompany children on field trips.
7. Assess health complaints and care for students with special healthcare needs.
