Job summary
RCM Healthcare Services is seeking a School Nurse (RN) to support students’ physical, mental, and emotional health on Long Island. You will provide medical care, manage chronic conditions, and respond to emergencies, while maintaining health records and coordinating with families and school staff.
The role includes full-time/part-time/per diem shifts with hourly pay of $48-$50. NY RN license and BLS required; vaccination and insurance requirements apply.
Qualifications
- Pediatric experience is preferred, but not mandatory.
- Strong clinical skills to provide medical care, respond to emergencies, administer medications, and manage student health conditions safely.
Responsibilities
- Providing basic medical care.
- Treating minor injuries and illnesses.
- Administering medications prescribed by healthcare providers.
- Managing emergencies such as asthma attacks, allergic reactions, seizures, or injuries.
- Supporting students with diabetes, asthma, epilepsy, ADHD, and other conditions.
- Creating and monitoring individualized healthcare plans.
- Keeping confidential medical documentation.
- Recording treatments and incidents.
- Informing parents about health concerns or emergencies.
- Collaborating with teachers, administrators, and healthcare providers.
