Job summary

Collier County Public Schools is seeking a School Nurse (RN) to oversee medical care of students during the school day. The RN will train and supervise the Health Clinic Aide as well as staff caring for students' medical needs.

Minimum requirements include an Associate degree in nursing and one year of RN experience in school nursing or a related specialty; Florida RN licensure and valid First Aid/CPR/AED certification are required.

Qualifications

• Associate degree in nursing and one year of RN experience in school nursing or related field.
• Completion of an accredited LPN-to-RN Bridge Program may qualify.
• Bachelor's degree in Nursing is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Oversee all medical care of students during the school day.
• Train and supervise the Health Clinic Aide and school staff who care for students' medical needs.

This is a pool vacancy for the 26-27 School Year. Selected candidates will be assigned to vacant positions.

The role of the School Nurse is to oversee all medical care of students during the school day. They will train and supervise the Health Clinic Aide as well as school staff who care for students medical needs.

Certification required: Registered Professional Nurse licensed in the State of Florida.

Valid First Aid/CPR/AED certificate issued by the American Heart Association, American Red Cross, or entity approved by the Florida

Department of Health.
