Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a School Nurse for the Queen of Peace location in North Arlington, NJ. This part-time role supports student health services during the 2026-27 school year, with a schedule of 9:00am–1:00pm, Tuesday through Thursday, and an hourly rate of $38–$40.

Responsibilities include reviewing immunization records, administering medications, conducting screenings (vision, hearing, scoliosis, height/weight), maintaining health records, and reporting health services to the Regional

Qualifications

• Valid NJ RN license required by contract.
• RN license and BLS CPR card required by contract.
• Pediatric experience is desirable, but not necessary.

• Assist with Medical/Dental Screenings.
• Prepare and file state reports as required by law.
• Conduct audiometric, vision, scoliosis, height and weight screenings.
• Provide first aid and emergency care to pupils.
• Administer medications and/or treatments as needed for attendance.
• Notify parents/guardians of screening defects and follow-up recommendations.
• Submit monthly reports of health services and screenings to Catapult Learning Regional Director.

School Nurse

Queen of Peace- North Arlington, NJ

Schedule: 9:00am-1:00pm, Tuesday-Thursday

Hourly rate: $38-$40/hour

Responsibilities

• Review immunization records for school age children
• Assist with Medical/Dental Screenings
• Prepare and file state reports as required by law
• Conduct audiometric screenings
• Conduct scoliosis screenings
• Conduct vision screenings
• Conduct Height and Weight Screenings
• Provide other optional screenings as needed, ex. Blood Pressure, Lice
• Maintain student health records
• Administer medication and/or treatment when necessary for pupils to attend school
• Provide first aid and emergency care to all school age children
• Provide the following services as promulgated by individual State Law/Regulation:
• Notify parent/guardian if a screening defect is found upon screening and recommend appropriate follow-up
• Observe and recommend to principal, exclusion of students who show evidence of communicable diseases and/or whose immunization records are not received from parent/guardian after numerous attempts.
• Submit monthly report of health services and screenings performed to Catapult Learning Regional Director
• Other duties may be assigned

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid NJ RN license, as required by contract.
• RN license and a Basic Life Support CPR - Professional Rescuer or Healthcare Provider card, as required by contract.

Preferred:

• Pediatric experience is desirable, but not necessary.
