Job summary

Catapult Learning is seeking a part-time School Nurse for Beacon Christian Academy in Bayonne, New Jersey for the 2026-27 school year. The role involves reviewing immunization records, conducting screenings, and administering medications as needed.

The position requires a valid NJ RN license and current BLS CPR certification, with pediatric screening experience preferred. This is a part-time on-site role with a pay rate of $38.00–$40.00 per hour and duties aligned to state law.

Qualifications

• Valid NJ RN license required by contract.
• RN license must be current and meet state requirements.
• BLS CPR - Professional Rescuer or Healthcare Provider certification required.

Responsibilities

• Review immunization records for school age children.
• Assist with medical and dental screenings.
• Prepare and file state health reports as required by law.
• Conduct audiometric screenings.
• Conduct scoliosis screenings.
• Conduct vision screenings.
• Conduct Height and Weight Screenings.
• Provide other optional screenings as needed, e.g. Blood Pressure, Lice.
• Maintain student health records.
• Administer medication and/or treatment when necessary for pupils to attend school.
• Provide first aid and emergency care to all school age children.
• Notify parent/guardian if a screening defect is found and recommend appropriate follow-up.
• Observe and recommend to principal, exclusion of students who show evidence of communicable diseases and/or whose immunization records are not received from parent/guardian after numerous attempts.
• Submit monthly report of health services and screenings performed to Catapult Learning Regional Director.
• Provide the following services as promulgated by state law.

Qualifications

Required:

• Valid NJ RN license, as required by contract.
• RN license and a Basic Life Support CPR - Professional Rescuer or Healthcare Provider card, as required by contract.

Preferred

• Pediatric experience is desirable, but not necessary.

Pay Rate

USD $38.00 - USD $40.00 /Hr.
