Job summary

Étoile Academy Charter School in Houston, TX, seeks a Medical Aide/School Operations Support who will serve as a direct-care nurse at a K-8 campus and assist the Operations Team by helping run the main office.

As School Nurse, you will provide direct nursing care, manage chronic health conditions, administer medications, conduct health screenings, respond to emergencies, and coordinate with families and health services.

Qualifications

• Fluency in English; Spanish preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide direct nursing care to students, including administration of medications and health assessments.
• Manage chronic health conditions and health care plans in collaboration with families.
• Conduct mandated health screenings and respond to health emergencies in a timely manner.
• Coordinate with health services and external agencies for coordinated student care.
• Support the main office operations: answer phones, enroll families, and assist registrar tasks.
• Mentor and support school nurses and contribute to professional development.
