Job summary

YES Prep Public Schools in Houston, TX seeks a Nurse for a 10-month position starting late in the school year. The role supports student and staff health, maintains medical records, and delivers essential health services under the Director of Campus Operations.

A RN license in Texas and a Bachelor's in Nursing are required; CPR/AED certification is also needed. The Nurse will collaborate with health staff to conduct screenings, manage immunizations, and ensure compliance with HIPAA and FERPA

Qualifications

Must hold a Registered Nurse license and a Bachelor's Degree in Nursing.
Current Texas RN licensure required.
Minimum of one year of licensed RN experience.
Valid Texas driver’s license and auto insurance.
CPR and AED certification required or obtain within district timeframe.

Responsibilities

Provide or aid staff and students with first aid, immunizations, screenings and data input.
Maintain system-wide student medical records.
Contribute to health program goals and objectives.
Deliver preventive health care, screenings, and referrals as per policy.
Ensure HIPAA and FERPA compliance for student health information.
Assist with vision, hearing and other required screenings as needed.
