Job summary

Middletown Township Public Schools is seeking a qualified school nurse to promote health and safety in the middle school environment and provide health services to students, faculty and staff. This is a replacement position available immediately through 6/30/2027, with a salary range and benefits as outlined in the negotiated contract.

The district requires NJ School Nurse certification or eligibility, residency in New Jersey, and background checks.

Qualifications

• NJ School Nurse certificate or eligibility required.
• Demonstrated expertise in school health nursing practice and emergency procedures.
• Knowledge of child growth and development, community and family dynamics, current health issues and wellness education.
• Knowledge of community health resources and ability to communicate effectively with nonschool health professionals and social service agencies.
• Required criminal history background check and proof of U.S. citizenship or legal resident alien status.
• Current residency in New Jersey, approved residency waiver or candidate agrees to obtain residency within one year of employment.

Terms Of Employment

• Replacement Position Salary Range: $60,673 - $87,673 (as per the negotiated contract and commensurate with level of education)
• Benefits: Full-time employees are eligible for medical, prescription and dental benefits on the first day of hire.
