Job summary

Bethel Local Schools is seeking a School Nurse to support student health needs in the Columbus area. The role entails assessment, planning, intervention and referrals to minimize absences and promote a healthy school climate.

The nurse will work with parents, staff and community providers, maintain records, and deliver health education while ensuring compliance with state regulations and district policies.

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in Biology, Chemistry or related science; coursework in health and development.
• Must meet state school nurse qualifications and be licensed as RN in Ohio.
• Master's degree in related field preferred but not required.

Responsibilities

• Provide health assessment and care planning for students.
• Collaborate with parents, staff and community agencies.
• Implement school health program and immunization compliance.
• Maintain records per state laws and BOE policies.
• Provide health education and counseling to students and staff.
• Perform nursing care for ill or injured students and coordinate referrals.
