Job summary

Osseo Area School District ISD 279 in Maple Grove, MN seeks a Registered Nurse to support students and staff as a Float RN.Responsibilities include emergency care, health assessments, medication administration, and health education within a school setting.

The role requires MN RN license, CPR, and the ability to collaborate with families, teachers, and healthcare providers. 35 hours/week during school days, full-time emphasis in a school-year schedule.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Must be a registered nurse currently licensed in Minnesota.
• CPR certification required.

Responsibilities

• Assess health status and perform first aid, emergency care and other illness interventions according to district guidelines.
• Administer medication and/or specialized health care treatments to students as directed by physicians and parents/guardians.
• Assess health and development status through district health screenings; facilitate referrals to health care agencies.
• Promote health and well-being through health teaching and counseling.
• Develop Individual Health/Emergency Plans and communicate with families and staff.
• Maintain health records for all students enrolled in the district.
• Serve as a health resource to faculty and staff.
