Allentown City School District is seeking a Certified School Nurse at Roosevelt Elementary School to support student health services and remove health barriers to learning.

The nurse will assess health needs, provide emergency care, maintain student health records, administer medications, and collaborate with families, teachers, and physicians to promote wellness and safe school environments. PA RN license and clearances required.

Qualifikationen

• Bachelor's degree in nursing from accredited institution.
• Valid PA RN license.
• Clear background checks including criminal and child abuse clearances.
• Professional maturity in working with children, staff, parents, and community.
• Additional qualifications as determined appropriate.

Aufgaben

• Appraises the health status of pupils and school personnel.
• Implements PA State Mandated Programs.
• Counsels pupils, teachers, parents, and others for treatment or program needs.
• Provides emergency care for injury or sudden illness.
• Collaborates with professionals to assure quality health care for students.
• Assists students and staff to achieve optimal wellness through health education.
• Performs other tasks as assigned by the principal and Director of Community and Student Services.
