Public Schools of Petoskey is seeking a Media Center Assistant for Lincoln Elementary in Petoskey, Michigan. This role supports literacy, information resource promotion, and technology use within the school's media center and classrooms.

The position requires strong computer and inventory management skills, with an Associate’s Degree or media center experience preferred. Work involves 193 days per year and a starting pay of $18.08 per hour.

• Promote information resources to teachers and students.
• Warm, personal skills with students and teachers.
• Knowledge of children's literature.
• Computer proficiency and information retrieval skills.
• Willingness to learn new skills.
• Assistance to teaching staff and library operations.
• Alternative qualifications may be considered by the Board.

Responsabilités

• Coordinates usage of media center facilities and building technology with the principal and teachers.
• Provides support in information retrieval and usage of technology.
• Repairs or coordinates repairs of information resources including books, audio visual equipment and computer technology.
• Maintains electronic card catalog with circulation of books, magazines and equipment.
• Maintains an electronic schedule for usage of media center facilities.
• Performs other related duties, which may be assigned by school principal, and/or Technology Director.
