Job summary

Bethel School District in Spanaway, WA seeks a Part-time Cafeteria Worker to prepare and serve meals, set up serving areas, and maintain clean kitchen spaces. The role involves varied daily hours: 3.25 hours a day for 170 days per year, 4 hours per day for 2 days per year, and 8 hours per day for 1 day per year, with a pay rate of PSE Salary Schedule Level 2 at $21.56 per hour.

The position reports to the Director of Child Nutrition and requires basic food handling knowledge, physical stamina

Qualifications

• Experience serving food desirable.
• Experience working with school age children desirable.

Responsibilities

• Set up serving carts and warming ovens for serving meals.
• Serve meals to students and staff and assist in assembling meals on trays.
• Clean and wipe down serving and meal areas between meal periods.
• Replenish serving containers and utensils as needed.
• Assist in placing food in serving carts and ovens per safety procedures.
• Clean refrigerators, storage areas, grills, and other kitchen areas regularly.
