Susquehanna Township School District is seeking a dedicated Food Service Worker to join our school cafeterias. You will assist in meal preparation, support safety practices, and provide friendly service to students and staff during service times.

A High School diploma or equivalent, PA driver’s license, and ServSafe certification are required. This non-exempt, 180-day position reports to the Food Service Manager and emphasizes teamwork, reliability, and adherence to health standards.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Valid PA Driver's License.
• ServSafe Certification.

Responsabilités

• Food Preparation: Assist in the preparation of food items according to recipes and production schedules.
• Food Safety and Sanitation: Follow proper safety and sanitation procedures to maintain a clean kitchen.
• Meal Service: Assist with serving meals to students and staff.
• Cashier Duties: Operate cash registers or POS systems and handle payments.
• Dishwashing and Cleaning: Wash dishes and clean kitchen surfaces and dining areas.
• Inventory Management: Receive, store, and rotate food and supplies; report shortages.
• Special Dietary Needs: Accommodate dietary restrictions and communicate requests.
• Menu Planning Support: Assist in menu planning and recipe development.
• Customer Service: Interact courteously with students, teachers, and staff.
• Team Collaboration: Work with kitchen staff to coordinate meal production and cleanup.
