Job summary

General McLane School District in Edinboro, PA is seeking a Maintenance Technician I to perform repairs, install and maintain equipment, and support district facilities and grounds.

The role is full-time with a twelve-month schedule, Monday–Friday, 8 hours per day, and requires proficiency with hand and power tools, ability to read blueprints, and a valid driver’s license. Team collaboration with the Maintenance Manager is essential.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required, trade school preferred.
• Experience with carpentry, electrical and plumbing basics is beneficial.
• Ability to read blueprints and interpret schematics for installations.

Responsibilities

• Perform corrective and emergency repairs as required.
• Replace and install equipment as required.
• Communicate with the Supervisor regarding repairs and installations.
• Assist with snow removal and grounds maintenance as needed.
• Maintain cleanliness and order in the maintenance shop and yard.
• Drive to retailers or vendors to pick up parts and supplies.
• Carry out preventative maintenance on district facilities and equipment.
