Responsibilities include completing work orders, coordinating with the Head Maintenance Mechanic/Director, and adhering to safety policies. Strong attendance and willingness to work after hours are essential.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience across multiple maintenance trades preferred.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle after-hours requests.

Responsibilities

• Perform work as assigned by the Head Maintenance Mechanic and Director of Maintenance/Operations.
• Work extra hours to remedy emergencies when asked.
• Assist and take direction from other staff as needed.
• Assume responsibility for tools and equipment used in daily work.
• Inform the Director of Maintenance/Operations of building and grounds needs as observed.
• Report on progress of work to the Head Mechanic and Director of Maintenance/Operations.
• Properly complete all assigned work orders and follow up as needed.
• Notify pertinent people when work orders are completed and items functioning properly.
• Follow through on work assignments to complete all phases timely.
• Clean entire area surrounding project work area upon completion; leave area as good as or better than found.
• Control the use of supplies and replacement parts for efficient operation.
• Exercise high ethics in spending district money for repairs.
• Cooperate with principals on emergency repairs.
• Maintain assigned maintenance vehicles in good condition.
• Exercise safety at all times and report hazards.
• Adhere to SEIU Master Agreement attendance policy.
• Report absences to Operations office per SEIU agreement.
• Maintain confidentiality regarding student affairs.
