Job summary

Martin County Schools is seeking an Electrician I in Williamston, North Carolina. The role involves maintenance, installation and repair of electrical systems within school facilities, under the Maintenance Director. Start date as soon as possible.

This is a reposted position with 12 months terms of employment and requires a high school diploma and NC driver license. Qualified applicants will perform a range of tasks from basic to more technical under supervision, adhering to safety standards

Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent required.
• Experience in electrical work or related education preferred.
• Valid North Carolina Driver License required.

Responsibilities

• Performs minor repairs to electrical systems and equipment.
• Assists in installation of fixtures, outlets, and switches.
• Assists in conduit work and pulling wire.
• Assists in replacing defective wiring and faulty components.
• Performs repair tasks on fuses, breakers, panels, circuits and related equipment.
• Supports installation and maintenance of PA, fire alarm, CATV, clocks, irrigation and generator systems.
