Job summary

New London Public Schools is seeking a dedicated food service worker to prepare and serve meals in accordance with menus and recipes. You will support lunchroom operations, ensure a clean kitchen and dining area, and assist in supervising students during meals.

This 10-month, full-time role reports to the Child Nutrition Program Director. Bilingual abilities in Spanish or Haitian Creole are a plus, and the position offers a starting rate of $17.83 per hour plus a comprehensive benefits package.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Ability to follow recipe specifications and health standards.
• Customer Service is essential to create a friendly, welcoming environment for students.

Responsibilities

• Assist in preparation of meals and serving of meals.
• Supervise children in lunchroom or recess areas.
• Clean Kitchen and Dining Room as needed.
• Perform cashiering duties in some positions.
• Maintain HACCP standards and district policies.
