Job summary

Carver Public Schools is seeking substitutes for Food Service to support the 2026-2027 school year. The role is part-time (3.5 to 6 hours per day) with starting pay at $17.54 per hour. Responsibilities include food preparation for large quantities, maintaining cleanliness, and adhering to sanitation and safety standards.

Prior food service experience is preferred but not required; training will be provided. The employer is an Affirmative Action/EOE. Minorities are encouraged to apply.

Qualifications

• Prepare food and learn to prepare and serve food in large quantities using large kitchen equipment.
• Clean equipment, serving areas, and wash pots and pans; sanitation duties.
• Follow National Restaurant Association sanitation and safety standards.
• Walk and stand for duration of work schedule.
