Washtenaw ISD is seeking a school food service cook to prepare nutritious meals at Ypsilanti International Elementary School. You will follow district and USDA standards, use recipes, and coordinate with the Food Service Director to ensure quality and portion control.

Responsibilities include production planning, maintaining records, operating service points as needed, and ensuring clean, safe work areas. ServeSafe certification is required; HS diploma preferred.

Qualifications

• Working knowledge of food handling, preparation, production, standard kitchen equipment, food safety and sanitation.
• Ability to understand recipes, production sheets, and inventories.
• Refer to Hourly Performance Measures Addendum.

Responsabilités

• Uses recipes to cook and prepare entrees, vegetables, sandwiches, and other items as directed.
• Coordinates daily with Food Service Director on production strategies and quality.
• Maintains accurate daily production records and assists in inventories.
• May operate cash register during serving periods.
• Ensures correct portions to meet program standards.
• Maintains sanitation, cleans work area, and restocks as needed.
• Labeling, dating, and rotating products in storage areas.
