Qualifications

• 2 years of school food service experience preferred.
• Ability to identify and resolve problems promptly.
• Follow supervisors direction and lead a small team.
• Strong communication with staff and client.
• Follow spoken and written directions.
• Lift up to 30 pounds and stand for long periods.
• Maintain confidentiality of student/staff information.
• Criminal background check required; EO/EOE

Responsibilities

• Cook and prepare foods using standardized recipes.
• Ensure meals meet quality standards and timelines.
• Direct food service staff and substitutes in meal prep and service.
• Prepare menu items for regular and a la carte lines.
• Lead a small staff with clear direction and training.
• Monitor equipment and refrigeration temperatures.
• Manage ordering, receiving, storing and inventory of perishables.
• Conduct cost control analysis and monitor costs.
• Reinforce USDA regulations and HACCP standards.
• Establish monthly food and labor cost goals.
• Promote school and community nutrition education.
• Meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
