School Lunch Cook (Part-Time) – Serve Students

Job summary

Uintah High School seeks a part-time cook to prepare and serve meals under the direction of the unit manager. This position is up to 19.5 hours weekly and is a voucher position with no benefits; applicants must be 21 or older.

You will assist with daily kitchen cleaning, record meals served, and use Food Service Software to prepare reports. Lifting up to 50 pounds is required, and other duties may be assigned.

Qualifications

• Experience working with children.
• Experience using computers and software.
• Food Handlers' permit required.
• Three letters of recommendation (one from a direct supervisor).

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food under the direction of the unit manager.
• Assist with the daily cleaning of all kitchen equipment to ensure cleanliness and sanitary conditions are met.
• Have the ability to lift and/or move up to 50 pounds of items such as milk crates, frozen foods, canned foods, etc.
• Record meals served and prepare various reports using Food Service Software.
• Collect lunch money.
• Other duties as assigned by supervisor.
