Job summary

L’Anse Creuse Public Schools is seeking a part-time food service assistant to prepare and distribute meals according to the approved menu and daily demand. You will ensure safety, cleanliness, and proper handling of equipment in a school environment.

The role requires a High School diploma, the ability to obtain Health Department Handling Permits, participation in professional development, and familiarity with MI-OSHA safety standards.

Qualifications

• Minimum of a High School diploma.
• Able to secure Health Department Handling Permits as required.
• Participate in provided Professional Development.
• Knowledge of/ or willingness to learn MI-OSHA safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and distribute meals following the approved menu and daily demand.
• Clean equipment, spaces and utensils after serving and return to proper area.
• Maintain records and reports as directed.
• Inventory food items periodically and as directed.
• Prepare meals for meetings and events as needed, including extra time.
• Report to work on time and work extra time as approved.
• Perform major cleaning of refrigerators and storerooms on scheduled intervals.
