Job summary

Amergis Healthcare Staffing is seeking a School LPN/LVN to provide nursing support in a school setting in Lutz, FL. This contract-full-time position offers 36.5 hours per week at $28 per hour, with responsibilities including monitoring student health, administering medications, and coordinating with the school nurse.

The ideal candidate holds a current LPN/LVN license, with 1+ year of nursing experience (preferably in school/pediatric settings) and CPR certification.

Qualifications

• Current, active LPN/LVN license.
• One year of nursing experience, preferably in school or pediatric settings.
• Experience with children/adolescents.
• Knowledge of community health resources/public health services.
• Complies with professional standards of practice.
• Current CPR if applicable.
• TB questionnaire or chest x-ray if applicable.
• Current health certificate per contract/regulation.
• Must meet federal/state/local requirements.
• Must be at least 18 years old.

Responsibilities

• Monitor student health concerns and provide nursing support in school.
• Administer medications and treatments as delegated or ordered.
• Provide first aid and care for illness or injury.
• Maintain accurate health records and communicate with families and school staff.
• Support students with chronic health needs and promote wellbeing at school.
