Sunbelt Staffing in the Greater Tampa Bay Area is seeking qualified nurses to support student well-being in school settings. Multiple contract positions are available for RNs and LPNs to oversee health rooms, provide 1:1 care for students with medical needs, or serve as the on-site clinician within a school clinic.

Requirements include an active Florida LPN license or RN ASN, full-time availability, and experience in pediatric or school nursing.

Qualifications

• Active Florida LPN license or RN ASN required.
• Full-time availability throughout the academic year.
• Experience in pediatric, school, or related nursing settings preferred.
• Strong ability to work independently while collaborating with clinic teams.
• Clear and compassionate communication with students, staff and families.

Responsibilities

• Administer medications per physician orders and school policies.
• Provide swift assessment and emergency response for student injuries or sudden illness.
• Maintain accurate, up-to-date health records, including immunizations compliance.
• Deliver first aid and routine care as needed.
• Monitor and manage chronic conditions, including diabetic checks and interventions.
• Facilitate communication with parents and educators regarding student health.
• Collaborate closely with the district RN supervisor and healthcare colleagues.
• Operate autonomously in running a school clinic environment, ensuring a safe space for all students.
