Qualifications

• Master's degree from accredited college required.
• Valid Texas School Librarian Certification or eligibility.
• Experience in a public school library/media center preferred.

Responsibilities

• Directs operation of the school library/media center.
• Collaborates with teachers and students on instructional programs.
• Administers the school library program budget.

Skills

Knowledge of applicable federal and state laws regarding education

Knowledge of library and information science

Knowledge of current teaching methods

Skill in communication both oral and written

Ability to analyze, organize and prioritize work

Education

Master's degree in Librarianship
