Job summary

Sylvania Library is hiring a library assistant to support the secondary librarian and help students and staff use library resources. The role involves 7.5-hour workdays on a 10-month year with a starting hourly rate in Grade 6. The ESSA unit governs employment terms and benefits are provided.

Qualified candidates must meet one of three education/assessment paths and have basic computer skills, typing, and experience working with students in a school setting.

Qualifications

• Must meet at least one of three qualifications: HS diploma + ParaProfessional Assessment or pass within 4 months; or an associate degree or higher; or 2 years of higher education (48 credits)
