Are You an Experienced School Leader Who Has Driven School Turnaround and Improved Mathematics Achievement?

Join Instructional Empowerment and Help Schools Achieve Lasting Instructional Transformation.

Instructional Empowerment (IE) is seeking an accomplished School Leadership Coach with demonstrated expertise in mathematics instructional leadership and a proven record of leading successful school turnaround efforts.

This is an opportunity for an experienced principal, district instructional leader, or school improvement professional who has personally led meaningful instructional change and can demonstrate how their leadership contributed to measurable improvements in student achievement, particularly in mathematics.

At Instructional Empowerment, our mission is to end generational poverty and eliminate achievement gaps through redesigned, rigorous Tier 1 instruction that ensures deeper learning for ALL students.

We partner with schools and districts to build the leadership capacity, instructional systems, and collaborative practices necessary to achieve measurable and sustainable improvement.

We are looking for a results-driven educational leader who knows how to lead school improvement, strengthen mathematics instruction, and develop other leaders to achieve lasting results.

About the Role

As a School Leadership Coach, you will work directly with principals, school leadership teams, and district leaders to implement Instructional Empowerment’s research-based Model of Instruction for Deeper Learning.

You will serve as a trusted thought partner and coach, helping school leaders identify root causes of instructional challenges, strengthen mathematics teaching and learning, establish effective systems of continuous improvement, and build the capacity necessary to sustain student achievement gains.

Working collaboratively with IE Faculty Coaches and project teams, you will support school leaders in translating research, instructional data, and improvement strategies into meaningful changes in classroom practice.

Success in this role is measured by improved leadership effectiveness, stronger instructional practices, successful implementation, and measurable gains in student achievement.

What You’ll Do

  • Apply firsthand school turnaround leadership experience to help leaders identify root causes of underperformance and address persistent achievement gaps.
  • Guide leadership teams in developing and executing strategic improvement plans with clear priorities, measurable goals, and accountability systems.
  • Help school leaders establish sustainable systems for monitoring instructional quality, evaluating progress, and adjusting improvement strategies.
Strengthen Mathematics Instruction and Achievement
  • Leverage expertise in mathematics instructional leadership to help school leaders improve the rigor, quality, and effectiveness of Tier 1 mathematics instruction.
  • Coach leaders in analyzing mathematics achievement data, identifying instructional gaps, and developing targeted improvement strategies.
  • Support leadership teams in strengthening standards-based mathematics instruction, curriculum alignment, assessment practices, and teacher collaboration.
  • Guide school leaders in monitoring the implementation and effectiveness of mathematics improvement initiatives and using evidence to inform instructional decisions.
Coach and Develop School Leadership Capacity
  • Build trusting, productive relationships with principals, instructional leadership teams, and district leaders while maintaining high expectations for results.
  • Provide actionable feedback, targeted coaching, and professional learning that strengthens leadership effectiveness.
  • Develop leaders’ ability to diagnose instructional challenges, lead change, support teacher growth, and hold teams accountable for implementation.
  • Navigate resistance to change while creating shared ownership, urgency, and commitment to improved student outcomes.
Drive Measurable Results Through Collaboration
  • Partner closely with IE Faculty Coaches and project teams to ensure consistent, high-quality implementation of IE’s Model of Instruction.
  • Monitor implementation progress, analyze performance metrics, and adjust improvement strategies based on evidence.
  • Facilitate professional learning and leadership development experiences for school and district teams.
  • Communicate progress, challenges, and outcomes to school partners and internal stakeholders.
  • Contribute to continuous improvement of IE’s coaching practices and implementation resources.
