Job summary

Colorado Springs School District 11 is seeking a Kitchen Assistant for Swigert Middle School in Colorado Springs. This position supports food service operations, assists in meal preparation, serves meals, and helps maintain clean, safe kitchen areas.

The role is 0.50 FTE, 173 days per year, with non-exempt status. Starting immediately, the pay is hourly with a range from $15.70 to $18.76 per hour, and includes non-recurring pay and stability incentives as described in the district’s compensation

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Basic computer knowledge and skills preferred.
• Basic cashiering knowledge and skills preferred.

Responsibilities

• Demonstrates positive customer service attitude at all times.
• Assists in the preparation of food for school meals.
• May prepare hot and/or cold food items for service.
• May be required to maintain accurate production records.
• Assists in the service of prepared food to students and staff.
• Cleans and disinfects work area and facilities.
