Job summary

The Gardner School in Arlington, VA is hiring a Kitchen Staff member to prepare meals for a preschool setting. You will confirm menus, manage inventory, and cook meals per approved plans while maintaining high sanitation standards.

Ideal candidates have SafeServe certification (or willingness to obtain), experience cooking for large groups, and strong time-management skills. This is an on-site role with opportunities for growth within our caring team.

Responsibilities

• Confirm weekly menus with school director.
• Maintain inventory and complete weekly food and supply orders.
• Prepare and cook meals according to approved menus and guidelines.
• Ensure food is cooked to correct temperatures and served safely.
• Maintain a clean, sanitized kitchen area and dishwashing tasks.
• Assist in classrooms or other areas as needed on occasion.
