Job summary

Oklahoma City Public Schools is seeking a Kitchen Specialist to manage the receiving, preparation, cooking, serving and cleanup of meals and related supplies. You may be assigned to various school sites and assist with catering and special events under the supervision of the Cafeteria Supervisor.

The role requires a high school diploma or GED, a valid driver’s license, and Food Protection Manager Certification.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED preferred.
• Valid driver’s license required.
• Food Protection Manager Certification from an accredited program.

Responsibilities

• Receive, safeguard, prepare, cook, serve and clean up food and non-food supplies.
• Operate a district vehicle if required for assigned tasks.
• Assist and cooperate with kitchen staff to maintain a harmonious working environment.
• Maintain clean and safe work environment and follow safety/sanitation guidelines.
• Assist the cafeteria supervisor with clerical tasks and inventories.
• Attend trainings and successfully complete required certifications.
