Job summary

Paycom in Colorado Springs, CO is seeking a Kitchen Specialist/Paraprofessional to manage meal prep and service for students, ensuring quality and safety during breakfast, lunch, and snacks.

The role requires a high school diploma (or equivalent) and either four years working with children or a bachelor’s degree, plus strong computer skills and a valid Colorado driver’s license. It’s a full-time daytime shift with comprehensive benefits and on-site collaboration.

Qualifications

• Must be 21+ years old at time of hire.
• High school graduate (or equivalent) with four years of experience working with children OR a Bachelor's degree.
• Knowledge of volume food preparation methods, procedures and techniques.
• Ability to operate a computer utilizing Microsoft Office.
• Must have 5 years of valid driving experience and a valid Colorado Driver’s License or be willing to obtain one within 30 days of hire.
• Satisfactory Central Registry and CBI record check.
• Ability to do simple math calculations and analyze data.
• Must resolve problems, handle conflict, and make decisions under pressure while dealing with emotions and frustrations.
• Scheduling flexibility, including being on-call.
• Ability to work as a team member.
• Effective communication with respect and tact.

Responsibilities

• Oversees the preparation and service of meals in the school.
• Provides breakfast, lunch, and snacks while ensuring health and safety standards.
• Attends mandatory meetings and training sessions.
