Job summary

Jeffco Public Schools is seeking a Food Service Worker, Satellite to support the district’s food service program at a satellite site.

This hourly, nonexempt position involves preparing and serving meals, operating the POS, stocking, and maintaining a clean kitchen. The role follows a school calendar with no nights or weekends, and a high school diploma or equivalent is preferred.

Starting salary is posted as $20.33 to $25.08 per hour, with a nonexempt status and 0.75 FTE.

Qualifications

• Basic math and recipe reading required.
• Strong communication with students, staff and parents.
• Ability to operate large commercial kitchen equipment.
• Knowledge of food safety, hygiene, portion control and safety rules.
• Basic English reading skills and simple computer tasks.

Responsibilities

• Prepare and serve food following approved recipes.
• Operate POS and cash handling during meal service.
• Transport, set up, service, cashier and tear down meal service at satellite location.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of the kitchen and equipment.
• Track inventory and assist with storage and rotation of supplies.
• Provide quality customer service to students, staff and community.
