Job summary

Maschio's Food Service Inc. seeks an organized Kitchen Manager to oversee daily school kitchen operations, ensuring nutritious meals and adherence to NSLP guidelines.

You will lead kitchen staff, manage schedules, and maintain HACCP records while upholding food safety standards. This role focuses on a team-driven, school-based environment with day shift hours, Monday through Friday, no weekends, and Summers off.

Qualifications

• Previous kitchen management or food service experience preferred.
• K-12 school food service experience is a plus!
• Knowledge of food safety, sanitation, and HACCP procedures.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily kitchen operations, including breakfast and lunch meal production.
• Supervise, support, and assist kitchen staff while managing staffing needs and daily schedules.
• Ensure meals are prepared according to recipes and NSLP guidelines.
• Oversee food preparation, cooking, portioning, and serving.
• Maintain HACCP-based production records and required documentation.
• Monitor food quality, safety, and sanitation procedures.
• Ensure proper PPE usage and safe food handling practices.
• Maintain a clean, organized kitchen environment.
• Assist with inventory management and ordering supplies.
• Maintain staff rosters and assist with administrative duties.
• Handle cash, operate the register, and ensure accurate transactions.
• Promote teamwork, professionalism, and customer service.
