Whitsons Culinary Group is hiring a Lead Food Service Worker in Downers Grove, IL. This full-time role offers a Mon-Fri schedule with no nights, weekends, or holidays. You will lead a kitchen crew, prepare meals to nutrition guidelines, manage ordering and storage, and ensure food safety and smooth service across all shifts.

You will supervise operations, handle POS and deposits, and contribute to a supportive, mission-driven kitchen environment that serves students daily.

Qualifications

• Must have ServSafe certification and government-mandated training.
• 2–3 years of professional food service experience preferred; lead or PIC experience in schools preferred.
• Strong leadership, reliability, and teamwork are essential.

Responsabilités

• Lead meal preparation to meet nutrition and portion guidelines.
• Manage daily food ordering, receiving, and storage.
• Organize cleaning, maintain food safety, and sanitation standards.
• Set up serving lines, stock beverage areas, and handle deposits.
• Direct the team during shifts and ensure timely service.
