Job summary

Qualifications

• High School Diploma or GED is required.
• Health and Inoculation Certificate on file after offer.
• Maintain TB testing as required by Health Department regulations.
• Must pass district/state trainings.
• Ability to maintain neat appearance.
• Demonstrate above-average communication skills.
• Demonstrate ability to work well with colleagues and students.
• No prior food service experience is necessary; training provided.

Responsibilities

• Support a positive working environment and respond to needs of students and staff related to food service.
• Communicate and work effectively with school district and community members.
• Operate kitchen equipment safely and complete required trainings.
• Follow policies on food handling and serving in district/state regulations.
• Prepare and serve meals, snacks, and beverages under supervision of Kitchen Manager and Director of Food Service.
• Maintain a clean kitchen space and perform dishwashing/deep cleaning tasks.
• Assist students in selecting healthy lunch options.
• Keep student and personnel records confidential.
• Perform other tasks as directed by Kitchen Manager, Principal, or Food Service Director.
