Job summary

Harmony Hill School in Glocester, RI is seeking a committed Food Service Cook to prepare nutritious meals for students and staff. Qualifications

• High school diploma or equivalent.
• SafeServ/Food Safety Handler certification (or willingness and ability to obtain).
• Previous cooking experience required, experience in an institutional or commercial food service setting is preferred.
• Physical ability to stand, walk, and lift up to 20 lbs (up to 50 lbs occasionally).
• Must complete pre-employment screenings including criminal and child abuse/neglect checks.

Responsibilities

• Follow established menus and recipes to prepare, cook and serve meals to students and staff.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety of kitchen, storage, and cafeteria areas.
• Assist with inventory, deliveries, and quality control.
• Engage professionally with youth and staff to provide a positive service experience.
