Job summary

Mission Neighborhood Centers, Inc. is seeking a Cook to prepare, cook, and serve two meals and one snack daily for one to two campuses. Follow CACFP standards and assist with menu planning in collaboration with Health & Nutrition staff.

The role requires a minimum of six months in food services, a high school diploma or GED, and the ability to work in a fast-paced kitchen environment on-site at the MNC Mission Campus.

Qualifications

• Minimum high school level reading and writing skills.
• High School diploma or GED.
• Minimum of six (6) months’ experience in the food services field.
• General knowledge of cooking and basic nutrition; sanitation practices.

Responsibilities

• Follow CACFP guidelines and CACFP production records.
• Plan, prepare, and serve meals and snacks according to CACFP standards.
• Maintain clean, sanitary kitchen and food prep areas per health guidelines.
• Stock carts, transport food to classrooms, and ensure timely service.
• Assist with menu planning and nutrition education activities with staff.
• Complete paperwork including logs and temperature records.
• Adhere to safety, PPE, and timekeeping policies.
