Flik Independent School Dining is hiring immediately for full-time and part-time COOK positions at The Frederick Gunn School in Washington, CT. Previous cooking experience required; duties include preparing high-quality items, serving meals, portion control, and maintaining HACCP standards.

Additional responsibilities include assisting in ordering and receiving supplies, keeping the kitchen clean, and working with a team of colleagues to deliver great meals.

Responsibilities

• Prepares high-quality food items according to standardized recipes and instructions to meet production, delivery and service schedules.
• Serves meals or prepares for delivery by using correct portioning and maintaining serving temperatures and presentation.
• Maintains kitchen cleanliness and safety, stores or discards excess food per safe handling procedures.
• Assists in ordering and receiving of all food and supplies as required.
• Follows HACCP standards and participates in safety meetings.
