Job summary

The Peoria Tribe of Indians of Oklahoma seeks a dedicated kitchen worker to prepare and deliver nutritious meals for the Early Childhood Department. You will assemble ingredients, follow recipes, and ensure sanitation and safety standards are maintained throughout meal service.

Responsibilities include menu planning assistance, ordering supplies, and delivering meals to classroom kitchens. Prior CACFP experience and a valid food handler’s card are preferred for this role.

Qualifications

• Current food handler’s card required.
• CACFP experience preferred.
• Strong experience in a commercial kitchen.

Responsibilities

• Assemble food, dishes, utensils and supplies for meal prep.
• Prepare and deliver nutritious meals per recipes and CACFP guidelines.
• Follow program recipes and plan menus with staff.
• Order and pick up foods and supplies for planned menus.
• Deliver meals from kitchen to classrooms and maintain sanitary kitchens.
• Wash dishes and sanitize equipment; keep storage areas clean.
• Assist with menu planning and food inventories.
• Report equipment repairs and maintenance as needed.
