Job summary

Minot Public Schools Sunnyside Elementary School in Minot, ND seeks a Nutrition Services Assistant to support food preparation, serving meals, and maintaining clean dining areas. 2.5 hours per day with part-time scheduling, all within district kitchens.

Responsibilities include operating a cash register, following health standards, and interacting professionally with staff and the public. A valid ND driver’s license may be required. Immediate start date.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or GED; customer service experience preferred.
• Knowledge of MPS policies and safety/sanitation practices for food preparation and distribution.
• Ability to follow verbal and written instructions and procedures, and follow safety standards.

Responsibilities

• Assist kitchen staff with basic food preparation and presentation; follow MPS policies and safety standards.
• Prepare dining areas for meals, serve meals/snacks, and operate a cash register/service terminal as needed.
• Clean work areas and dining areas to maintain sanitary conditions and proper hygiene.
• Maintain confidentiality and interact courteously with the public and District staff.
