Job summary

TES Staffing in Greece, NY seeks a School Kitchen Aide for the 2026 school year. Entry-level, part-time role with AM shifts, on-call basis. Pay is $17.00/hr; contract-to-hire with excellent district benefits after permanent hire.

Responsibilities include serving meals, food prep, sanitation, and operating POS systems. Must pass NYSED background check and be able to lift up to 50 pounds.

Qualifications

• Previous food service experience preferred, but not required.
• Must obtain, purchase, and pass background check through NYSED.
• Ability to float to different schools as needed.
• Comfortable performing physical job duties, including walking, standing, and lifting up to 50 pounds.
• Ability to confidently follow written and oral instructions.
• Commitment to food safety and sanitation guidelines.
• Must effectively and professionally interact with students, faculty, and staff.

Responsibilities

• Provide cafeteria coverage throughout the district.
• Prepare a variety of foods, including sandwiches, cold plates, and more.
• Wash and sanitize pots, pans, utensils, and kitchen equipment.
• Safely operate kitchen appliances and equipment.
• Serve meals to students with a friendly and positive attitude.
• Set up condiments, supplies, and serving areas.
• Operate POS systems as needed.
• Jump in and assist with various kitchen duties to keep operations running smoothly.
• Enjoy a healthy work-life balance with daytime hours—no nights or weekends!
• Flexible, on-call scheduling with the potential for a set schedule.
