Job summary

ROCK POINT SCHOOL, INCORPORATED is seeking staff to create and maintain a safe, positive learning environment that supports the holistic development of students and staff through cultural, social, spiritual, physical, and academic experiences.

Responsibilities include supporting the Bureau of Indian Education’s mission to provide high-quality education for individuals from early childhood through life, while respecting a tribe’s cultural and economic well-being.

Qualifications

• High school diploma or GED required.
• Must meet the qualification requirements contained in the BIE Job Category Standard.
• Physical requirements: able to lift over 50 pounds, good vision in one eye, ability to read printed material with or without glasses; required good hearing (with or without hearing aid) and good hand and foot coordination. An amputation of an arm, hand, leg or foot is not a disqualification but may require a satisfactory prosthesis.
• May be required to wear personal protective clothing and equipment.
• Work is primarily indoors in well-ventilated, heated, and lit environments; exposure to vibration from heavy equipment, strong cleaning solutions, and hazards when using ladders or operating heavy equipment is possible. Work outdoors may occur in inclement weather.
