Job summary

Magen David Yeshivah is seeking a full-time Housekeeping Staff Supervisor to oversee daily cleaning and maintenance of school facilities, ensuring a clean, safe, and welcoming environment for students and staff. The role supervises housekeeping personnel, coordinates daily assignments, and monitors performance to meet established standards.

The position offers an onsite schedule: 3:00pm–11:00pm Monday-Thursday and 12:00pm–8:00pm on Friday.

Qualifications

• Experience in housekeeping or custodial services required.
• Previous supervisory or team leadership preferred.
• Strong organizational and communication abilities.
• Ability to manage multiple priorities.
• Knowledge of cleaning procedures and sanitation.

Responsibilities

• Supervise, train, and support housekeeping staff.
• Assign daily cleaning duties and schedules.
• Monitor attendance, productivity, and quality of work.
• Conduct regular inspections and give feedback.
• Ensure safety policies and procedures are followed.
• Coordinate service with customers and address complaints.
• Move heavy furniture and equipment as needed.
• Clean exterior surfaces and perform snow removal.
• Load and unload tools from work vehicles.
• Follow workplace health and safety rules.
• Communicate staffing needs to school administration.
• Review daily tasks and follow up with employees.
